From Google to Ligatus: Patrik Schwanecke becomes the new managing director for Germany, Austria and Switzerland

Cologne, 4th October 2016. From the beginning of October, Patrik Schwanecke becomes the new managing director for Germany, Austria and Switzerland at Ligatus, Europe’s leading native and performance network. He will further develop both the core business and the programmatic native growth area. He joins the company from Google Ireland, where he was responsible for network agencies in the German-speaking markets.

Before Schwanecke joined Google in Dublin, he spent more than seven years at Gruner + Jahr Electronic Media Sales GmbH, most recently as Head of Key Account Management Digital, where he led the sales office in Dusseldorf. With the help of his team, he looked after advertising clients in Nielsen area 2.

Before that, he was at the media firm Ströer Deutsche Städte Medien GmbH, once again responsible for advertising clients and agencies.

With this experience, he is a proven expert in German online marketing. He knows the market inside out and maintains longstanding relationships with agency clients. In his role at Ligatus, he will also be responsible for publishers and will support them in optimising monetisation.

Patrik Schwanecke reports to Julien Mosse, COO of Ligatus. Lars Hasselbach leaves the company, after six years as managing director, to seek new professional challenges.
